Oopbuy Spreadsheet warehouse checks and QC photos

What happens to each package in Xiamen, what the free photos show, and how to read them for the numbers a parcel plan needs.

What happens when a package reaches Xiamen

Oopbuy's warehouse is in Xiamen, Fujian. Domestic delivery from the seller usually takes three to five days. The inspection rules then run in a fixed order.

  1. If the outer packaging is severely damaged or does not meet requirements at signing, the package is rejected.
  2. Packages that pass are all opened for prohibited-items inspection, then weighed and stored.
  3. Goods that do not meet transport requirements get a special marking, and you are reminded to confirm their status.
  4. The original express box is removed and the goods go into Oopbuy self-sealing bags; fragile, easily damaged and oversized items, and goods whose delivery box is their packaging, stay in their original boxes, subject to actual operation.

The special marking in step three is where route restrictions first show up. If an item is flagged, it will filter the route list for any parcel it joins.

QC photos: what the standard set covers

Inspectors check quantity, colour, size and other label specifications against your order. The regular inspection photos are generally three, typically the front, the back and a side or logo, and standard QC photos are free.

The inspection has clear limits. Colour difference, size error and usage effect are not within its scope. Electrical and digital goods are checked for appearance only, not powered on. Sealed CDs, handmade items and adult products are not opened.

For more, there are detailed photos at 1 CNY each and fine photography, a paid custom shoot for specific requirements. Fine photography has to be requested with clear shooting requirements after the goods are stored.

Photo prices are also on the fees page.

Use the photograph for what it can show

A warehouse photo should be compared with the saved order, not just admired as a product picture. This folded shirt shows its broad colour, print and visible condition. Its folded dimensions do not tell you the chest width or how it fits.

Ask for an unfolded measurement between named points if size is uncertain. Request a label, seam, sole or component view when that is the actual missing evidence. Basic visual inspection does not authenticate a brand, test electronics or certify performance.

Make the keep, evidence or return decision before dismantling packaging and submitting international freight. The current published return service is conditional on seller eligibility and a 120-hour window measured from stock-in under the stated time rule. A service-fee waiver does not necessarily waive return freight. Normal storage 90 days is not 90 days to return.

How to check QC photos for packing information

Most advice on QC photos is about the item itself: stitching, print, colour. That still matters. For parcel planning, read four other things in the same photos.

  1. The weight in grams, printed on the photo. Add up the items you plan to combine and compare the total with the route windows.
  2. The size in centimetres. The caption gives the measured size. Check the longest side against 90 cm and against 55 to 60 cm for the cheap lines.
  3. The original packaging. Is a shoe box, gift box or hard case visible? Decide now whether it travels.
  4. Anything that changes the route: a battery compartment, a charging port, a liquid fill line, a magnet clasp.

If the item looks right but one of these four surprises you, that is the moment to change the parcel plan, not after submission.

Parcel photo and detailed photo

Two photo services sit at the parcel stage rather than the item stage. A parcel photo costs 5 CNY and gives one picture before sealing and one after. It is useful when you need proof of what went into a parcel, for example before an insurance claim, or when you split a box and want to see which items went where.

Detailed photos cost 1 CNY each and can include local measurements, which makes them the cheapest way to settle a borderline size. If an item may be close to 90 cm, a detailed photo of the length against the mat costs less than any parcel mistake.

Returns window and what a split costs

The 5-day return and exchange guarantee lets you request a return within 5 days, 120 hours, from the next hour after the status changes to stocked in. It only covers items the seller offers guaranteed returns on, in re-saleable condition. Excluded: custom-made items, items whose packaging or tags were removed on request, periodicals, second-hand goods, goods from outside mainland China, underwear, adult products, food and books of 15 or more.

You pay return shipping, both legs if the item came with free shipping, and the seller has the final say. Note the interaction with packing: if you asked for a shoe box to be removed to save volume, that item may no longer qualify.

The returns window opens and closes long before most parcels are built, so check items as they arrive, not when the last one does.

After the warehouse: settle, track and receive

Keep the estimated and final packed freight records together. If the total changes, compare the selected line, actual dimensions, chargeable weight and extras before asking about the adjustment. A credit back to account balance is not the same action as withdrawing to a bank or payment provider.

After dispatch, distinguish a label, carrier pickup, transit and delivery scan. At receipt, inspect packaging and contents, retain evidence of a problem, and contact the parcel conversation promptly. The available insurance, exclusions and claim deadline depend on the service and issue; use the conditions shown for that parcel.
